Weight Management

Would you like to feel fitter, healthier and more active? When it comes to losing weight, it’s often hard to know where to start. NL Leisure can show you the Weigh To Go.

Weigh To Go is a 15 week weight management programme designed to change your body shape and how you feel about yourself. It’s not a quick fix diet but an all-in-one health and fitness course run in partnership with NHS Lanarkshire. Even better it’s free for 15 sessions to members and non members alike.

Join Weigh To Go and you’ll be part of a small group of people (15 at most) with a common goal. You’ll gain friends as you lose weight. Each time you drop a dress size or move up a belt notch, they’ll be there to cheer you on. Your group is led and supported by a health and fitness expert who’ll guide and inspire you. They’ll encourage you to choose healthy eating options from a menu of mouthwatering recipes. They’ll motivate you to take exercise, building up to 45-minute sessions, and set realistic targets you can stick to. At the end of the course, they’ll recommend fitness options to help you maintain and sustain a healthy weight.

CUSTOMER NOTICE

Due to the current restrictions in place for Covid-19 we have adjusted our Weigh to Go Programme on an interim basis. Once restrictions are lifted the class format will return to normal

Classes will continue to run in the venues as they open up and, as per the customer guidelines detailed on our web page you should book into your preferred class on a weekly basis using the app or by calling the venue direct.

The education part of the class is slightly shortened in some venues at present and if you provide your email address to your class instructor, the weekly factsheets will be emailed out in advance of the class. Your instructor will summarise this at class prior to the physical activity session. There will be a few minutes allocated at the beginning of each class to ask any questions about the weekly factsheet.

The physical activity session will run as normal albeit it you will require to stay within your allocated zone in the studios and there will be limited equipment used. 

Scales will be available at the class for you to record your own weight should you wish otherwise we will be asking you to take your own weight at home if possible your weight and update your booklet on a weekly basis. If you are using the venue scales, you will require to take your own weight and clean the scales down after use.

We are continuing to run 2 online classes at present where you are able to you will be able to participate in a Zoom class with your instructor at a set time.
