Transformation Tuesday - Tracey Davison

NLL Latest News

Over November & December, Tracey Davison took part in our 'Advent Abs' programme and witness a great transformation over a 6-week period. Read below to find out more about Tracey's story.

1. Tell us a little bit about you, and why you decided to join Advent Abs?

I'm a 45 year old mum of 2 that runs her own sports and remedial massage business and loves rugby!

I decided to join Advent Abs as I had lost my love for the gym, (was a regular gym goer and stopped 2 years ago). Stepping through the door would give me the fear, but I had to get over that! I had also damaged my knee during rugby training, and after 4 weeks on crutches I knew I needed to get back into the gym to strengthen up and rehab my knee but I also wanted to get back on track with my eating also something to be accountable for I guess.

2. What was your goal and did you reach it?

My goals were to build strength in my whole body, and to rehab my knee. I also wanted to get myself back into the habit of working out and having a clear plan of what I had to do every time I walk through the gym doors. I’m not too bothered about scale goals but would like to see a loss of inches and fat.

Did I reach my goals, yes (and no) . Advent Abs is a great starter step for pointing me in the right direction. My goals were to fall back in love with the gym, to strengthen my knee and body, to encourage me to make better choices with food, those goals have been met but more are set and I’m getting ready to smash them!

3. How has your 6 week journey impacted on your life for the better?

It has had a very positive impact on my life as I can see differences in a short time and I am lifting heavier weights and feeling better about myself.

It has also made me more aware of my eating habits as I would give myself a wee treat at night, but I’ve stopped that as I was eating for no reason. It has definitely made me more focused.

4. How do you plan on continuing your new healthy outlook?

I do plan on keeping everything I have been doing on the last 6 weeks, and have been asking Thomas about setting up a plan that I can work towards and progress on to.

All of us here at NL Leisure would like to say a huge well done to Tracey on her fantastic achievement and wish her well with her future fitness goals!

Be sure to check back soon for more great stories.
