Annual Suicide Prevention Tournament 2016 - Results

Wednesday, 07 September 2016 NLL Latest News

We had a total of 28 teams participating on the day and over 250 players. We had a 5 a-side tournament for 16 years + and a 7 a-side tournament for S5/S6 which was the first year we have ever done so.

Albion Rovers manager Darren Young, Clyde manager Barry Ferguson and assistant Bob Malcolm, Motherwell assistant manager James McFadden and 1st team player Jacob Blythwere were all in attendance to support the event.

Scotland has made vast strides in cutting the numbers of people who die by suicide over the last decade but men in their 30-50s remain more vulnerable. More people die by suicide in Scotland than by road traffic accidents.

The event is designed to raise awareness and to also highlight that there is help to those who need it.
