Roving Reporter - Lewis Thomson

NL Leisure's first Roving Reporter has been out and about around North Lanarkshire to find out how people across the region are improving their health and fitness goals. This month's Roving Reporter, Lewis Thomson, aged 6 from Cumbernauld , takes part in Balanceability classes at Broadwood Leisure Centre and interviewed his coach, Alan Bannatyne, to find out his thoughts on the programme.

'Balanceablilty' is a dedicated learn-to-cycle programme, targeted at children aged 6 and under. Through the use of pedal-less bikes, Balanceability eradicates the use of stabilisers and promotes the fundamental skill of cycling, balance. The aim is to introduce youngsters to cycling, dynamic balance and co-ordination, building up to the ability to cycle solo on a pedal bike. All balance bikes, helmets and equipment are provided.
