How long have you been a member of NL Leisure?
I first signed up for my NL Leisure membership about 6 years ago.
What venue do you attend?
I go between Broadwood and the Tryst. They are both fantastic venues.
What do you use on your membership? Gym? Swimming? Fitness classes?
I mainly workout in classes such as Cyclefit, Body Attack, Body Pump and Metafit. I train in the gym a lot more thanks to my new Personalised Fitness Plan. I do occasionally enjoy a swim, steam and sauna.
What made you sign up for the Personalised Fitness Plan and has it made a difference?
I first signed up with the programme about 5 months ago and the changes have been incredible. The NLL gym staff could not be more helpful and they encourage me each time to keep going above and beyond smashing my personal goals. They are attentive, respectful and motivational individuals, who I am entirely inspired by past and present. I put them all on a pedestal.
I understand I am the one putting in the hard work but I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for these individuals.
Did you have a goal when signing up for our membership? Have you reached this goal?
My goal was to feel stronger and fitter both mentally and physically. I wanted more definition on my body. It was the confidence boost I needed to spend more time in the gym.
Do you have any advice for someone thinking of signing up to an NL Leisure membership?
I'd say to anyone with confidence issues or stuck in a rut, just do it! Simple to say but it will change your life. You have nothing to lose but so much to gain. You will feel stronger inside and out, meet amazing inspiring people who will motivate you whilst working on their own goals and you will have fun doing it. It may take blood, sweat and tears but I'd expect nothing less from anyone who is truly passionate about their personal goals.
Any comments you would like to add?
My trainer Tracy Ho at Broadwood took my personal goals, statistics and listened to what I wanted to achieve. She then created me a storm of a programme that pushes me every single day to be better. It gets tweaked and monitored regularly when it needs to but continues to help me with my mental and physical strength. She also gave me meal prep and planning advice which helps with my training. I can't say enough positive comments about this programme and the individuals who have kindly encouraged and motivated me for the last 6 years. It has had its ups and downs, but I always come back stronger and this is by far the fittest and happiest I've felt with my training.
