Football Update

Return of over 18 match play and ad-hoc bookings

With the final hurdle in returning to full match play for all being removed on May 17th.

Return To Football Hub | Club Services | Scottish FA

We have had to look at how we can safely manage teams playing at our facilities in accordance with guidance set out by the SFA, SportScotland and the Scottish Government.

Please be advised that from 9am on Monday the 10th May, the 7 day in advance payments for midweek bookings will be brought back as per let booking terms and conditions.  Any team not paying for their midweek booking from the 10th will have it removed from the system to allow other teams to book.

Usual weekend let terms and conditions of teams having until 12pm on the Tuesday before the let is removed for non-payment will apply.

Teams who have an existing serial let and have filled out the correct form and handed in their risk assessments and track and trace procedures will be able to pay for their match lets.

Other users – for 5 and 7 aside games will be able to book and pay from the 10th May for any games from the 17th onwards.  This group of bookees will need to fill out the track and trace form and send it to reception at time of payment for them to get their booking.  *These need to be kept for 21 days

I understand that this will be a big change for many teams, but this needs to be done in order for us to comply with all the current guidance set out by SportScotland and the SFA.

Non-affiliated teams paying/booking games:

  • Email the attached form to the reception you wish to call to make the booking.
  • Call reception to pay or book/pay, once the sheet is confirmed you can then make the payment.
  • If there are any changes to the team sheet a new one must be emailed to reception.
  • It is the responsibility of the bookee to ensure that the track and trace register is correct.

FOOTBALL UPDATE 26th FEBRUARY

Following the announcement from the Scottish Government on Tuesday regarding the reintroduction of Non Contact training for under 18s from the 15th March, we have been looking at a timeline to a sensible approach to this return.

Monday 8th March – Non Contact training to return to all sites for under 12 age group. As previously run, this would be for existing teams in the Covid officer database only.  No ad-hoc bookings to be taken at this point.

Monday 15th March – Non Contact training to return for all children under 18.  As previously run, this would be for existing teams in the Covid officer database only.  No ad-hoc bookings to be taken at this point.

Monday 5th April – Return to games.  Early indication has set this date for the return of ‘friendly’ games for U18’s.  We will of course keep up to date with all the guidance as it comes out from Scot Gov and the SFA and advise nearer that date.

As always during this time, dates are subject to change as we follow all the appropriate guidance from the governing bodies

FOOTBALL UPDATE 29th JANUARY

We are continuing the decision to keep our football pitches closed at this time for our grassroots training and matches until the next Scottish Government update in mid February where our decision will be reviewed further.

This decision has not been taken lightly and is due, in part, to our commitment to assist in the effort to vaccinate the residents throughout North Lanarkshire, where we have allocated 6 of our facilities as NHS vaccination centres, which will be staffed by CLNL employees.

Please keep checking back on the web page regularly.

Thank you for your patience in these unprecedented times.

FOOTBALL UPDATE 7 JANUARY

We are continuing the decision to keep our football pitches closed at this time for our grassroots training and matches until the end of January, where our decision will be reviewed further.

Please keep checking back on this page regularly.

Thank you for your patience in these unprecedented times.

FOOTBALL UPDATE 4 JANUARY

We have made the decision to close our football pitches to all grassroots training and matches, this is the safest course of action until the updated guidance and confirmation from the SFA and governing bodies.

We will provide a full update as soon as possible. Please keep checking back on this page regularly.

Thank you for your patience in these unprecedented times.
