NLL Latest News

Our new NLL Legend is Cathie McPhee! Cathie has amazed us all after undertaking a self-made challenge of running for 1000 days in a row!

Cathie who had no previous running experience started off slowly but soon had the running bug and was eager to continue improving. This is when she decided to put her challenge into practice.

Cathie managed 278 days of running before surgery kept he side-lined for a week. Not to be deterred, after Cathie recovered she started up her challenge again – from day 1 – and this time completed the mammoth task of running for 1000 days in a row!

Cathie ran at least 5k every day and would often complete 10k’s & even half marathons. Cathie’s running wasn’t just limited to Scotland. She ran in the soaring heat of Abu Dhabi, and even ran in Cyprus where her daughter tied the knot.

On the 17th April Cathie finally reached the milestone and the target that she set herself of running for 1000 days in a row.

It goes without saying that Cathie’s achievement is a truly momentous one and that is why she is more than deserving of being our NLL Legend! Well done Cathie!
