NL Leisure Interim Results: Oct-Dec 2014
Interim results delight NL Leisure
NL Leisure’s latest published performance figures, covering the final three months of 2014, have delighted senior figures at the trust. Overall attendances have increased by 0.2% on the previous reporting year and a whopping 12% for indoor sports alone; meanwhile in other welcome news customer income showed growth of close to 3%.
A rolling programme of investment across NL Leisure venues continues to reap rewards with just under 900,000 visits to venues from October to December and, as it prepares to implement ambitious plans for 2015/2016, the trust is confident the positive trends will continue.
NL Leisure Chief Executive Blane Dodds welcomed the report and said:
“These interim figures vindicate the approach we’ve taken in the last 18 months and I’m delighted with the results. At the same time we can’t afford to be complacent and we need to keep working hard to make our services even better.
“We operate in an increasingly sophisticated arena and the expectations and preferences of our customers are continuing to evolve.
“For example there has been a slight drop in the usage of our pools over the last year in comparison to substantial growth in ‘dry’ services but the overall upward trend in both visitor numbers and income will allow us to continue to strategically invest across our venues and services.
“I’d like to thank all our members and customers for their continued support and the NL Leisure team who have worked so hard to deliver these results.”
