What is Heart Rate Training, and what benefits can it bring?
Heart Rate Training is simply measuring your heart rate when exercising to discover how hard you’re working out. HRT is important as it will allow for you to maximise and perfect your workout. HRT is one of the most effective ways to ensure that you are working out at an effective level that will improve your fitness, and most importantly that the effort you’re putting in to your workout is delivering results.
The HRT Belts will determine what ‘zone’ you are in when working out. This will show you how hard your heart is working when exercising. The HRT Belts will display your Beats Per Minute and will also indicate what percentage rate your heart is working at.
The zone your heart is in will vary as your workout progresses.
The following percentages are an estimated rate as everybody’s maximum heart rate is specific to themselves:
Zone 1: 60-70% of your maximum heart rate, this is the equivalent to warming up and cooling down, and should therefore feel very comfortable.
Zone 2: 70-80% of your maximum heart rate. This is still comfortable enough to hold a conversation but harder than the workout. The majority of your training is done in this zone.
Zone 3: 81-93% of your maximum heart rate. In this zone you’ll be giving comfortably hard effort, and you may still be able to say some short, broken sentences.
Zone 4: 94-100% of your maximum heart rate. In zone 4 you’ll be giving hard effort, and at the peak pace of your workout. Conversation is only manageable with a few words at a time.
Immediately after your workout the HRT Belt will email you information such as your maximum and average heart rate, the time spent in each heart rate zone, and much more. This information will allow for you to analyse your workout and tailor them in the future to help you achieve the best results for you.
Reducing your Resting Heart Rate is important to your overall health & well-being. Using our new HRT Belts will allow for you to monitor your heart rate over a prolonged period of time to ensure that long lasting results are achieved. HRT can allow for you to save as many as 20,000 heart beats a day.
