Broadwood - Live By The Loch
Cumbernauld Music Festival
We are delighted to announce our first ever music festival which will be taking place at Broadwood Stadium on Saturday 2nd June. Broadwood: Live by the Loch will allow you to experience Scottish music like you never have before, with some of the best Scottish musical talent on show to set the stadium alight.
Tickets - Tickets are on sale now! Book here: https://culturenl.co.uk/broadwood-live-at-the-loch/
Scottish legend Dougie MacLean is set to kick the party off as he celebrates 40 years since the release of “Caledonia” one of the greatest Scottish anthems of all time.
Second act on the bill is Mànran, one of the best-known and best-loved Scottish bands on the scene today.
Top of the bill for Live by the Loch will be the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. This incredible bagpipe rock band went from a cameo appearance at T in the Park in 2004 with the darkness to opening the main stage in their own right in 2014. The past ten years have seen the red hot chilli pipers become the most famous bagpipe band on the planet - ever!
The band have expressed huge excitement:
“The Red Hot Chilli Pipers are delighted to perform at Broadwood Stadium on 2nd June 2018. As one of the founding members of the band Willie Armstrong still stays in Cumbernauld and the other founding member Kevin MacDonald lived in Cumbernauld for a number of years and still has close family there, this truly does feel like a home town gig for the band. We are really looking forward to friends and family coming to this exciting new event.”
We will have a number of fully stocked bars so you can enjoy a dram or a few beers as you party the night away to the best Scottish music around. Food will also be available and a number of other exciting secondary activities to keep the whole family entertained.
Broadwood will come alive with an incredible celebration of Scottish music on the 2nd of June so be sure to get your tickets when they go on sale on 23rd March. Tickets will be limited and this Cumbernauld gig is expected to sell out fast so make sure you don’t miss out.
