Read David's story below:
1. Tell us a bit about yourself?
I have been a group fitness instructor for over seventeen years now! It’s a great job and something which I really enjoy doing.
2. How long have you been with NL Leisure for?
I have been with NL Leisure since the opening of Broadwood Leisure Centre. I started as the gym manager there and loved every minute of it. I’m now the venue manager at John Smith Pool, Airdrie.
3. How long have you been teaching Body Attack for?
I started teaching Body Attack just over 14 years ago and started on Body Attack 47. I decided to do my exercise to music before I started teaching Attack as you needed this as a prerequisite to the training. Prior to this I taught Body Pump and all I needed at the time was my gym instructor qualification. I taught Body Combat first as all I needed was martial arts experience and this was in 1999 roughly. It’s been a great journey and I can’t wait for Body Attack 100!
4. What’s your favourite thing about Body Attack?
The energy, the sweat and the feeling of achievement you have when you are finished. The great thing about it is the fun you have while you are getting fit. Teaching it is even more rewarding as you see the results people are getting by putting everything into it.
5.Why should people attend Body Attack 100?
People should join us to celebrate one of the longest running high intensity interval training programmes out there along with hundreds of other like minded people. It’s sure to be an excellent day!
Places are going fast and we'd encourage you to book now to secure your spot! https://bit.ly/2GgNf2h.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
