CLUBSPORTNL HALF MARATHON and Drumpellier 5k,

Sunday 17th May 2020 - 10.30am start

The half marathon is limited to 350 participants

Top prize of £100 - Male and Female

Event start/finish, Car Parking and Changing Facilities at St. Ambrose High School, 65 Townhead Road, Coatbridge ML5 2HT

Closing date for all entries will be Sunday 10th May 2020 (Limited entries on the day)

The event is delivered by clubsportnl in partnership with North Lanarkshire Leisure, North Lanarkshire Council.

Alongside The Main half marathon road race is a 5k timed road run1k Fun Run for P5 to P7 pupils, 400m Dash for P1 to P4 pupils, 100m Dash for 3-5yrs.

9:30am -        Toddler Dash (up to 5yrs)

9:40am -        400m (Primary 1-4)

9:55am -        1k (Primary 5-7)

10:30am -      Monklands Half Marathon and Drumpellier 5k

The recognised charity for this event will be the Beatson cancer Charity

This year’s clubsportnl Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 17th May 2020 and will once again be a joint initiative between clubsportnl, North Lanarkshire Leisure Ltd and North Lanarkshire Council.

All Half Marathon participants shall receive a participation medal with a cash prize for the first three finishers from both the male and female category.

There will also be a presentation of the Frank Burns Memorial trophy to the 1st male and female Vetern (40+)

Car parking and changing facilities for the event will be within the St. Ambrose High School campus which is also the start and finish area of the event.

Entry fees for the half marathon are £13.00 for those affiliated to Scottish Athletics Ltd and £15.00 for non-affiliated runners, entry on the day £20.

The closing date for on-line entries is Sunday 10th May 2020.

Please note that the half marathon route is not suitable for wheelchairs.

the results and informing you of our events in 2019 and 2020.

We may also use images of this and past events for the local press and on our website.

Data will not be used for any other purpose and will not be passed onto any other third parties or agencies.

Please note we do not offer refunds but we offer a transfer system up until the week before the event.

Nite Lite - Run Dark

CUSTOMER NOTICE

In the interest of participant safety we have taken the decision to postpone our Nite Lite Run Dark event scheduled for next Friday the 27th of March.
We will confirm the new date as soon as possible and all purchased tickets will remain valid for the rearranged date.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope you understand the reasons behind our decision.

 

Registration will take place at Drumpellier Country Park visitor centre

Registration will close at 6:40pm and the event will begin at 7pm prompt

Head Torches are mandatory and one will be provided as part of your entry fee and given at registration

The event will Run Dark from Lochend loch within the park past the superb Crannog and onto the woodland trail incorporating parts of the North Calder trail

The event will be approx 6miles and finish alongside the visitor centre

Entrants must be age 16+

All finishers will receive a unique finisher’s medal and goody bag

T-shirts (priced £10) are be purchased separately and will be available for collection at the event

Cumbernauld 10k

Cumbernauld 10k
 is a family community running festival based at Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld

The event is delivered by Culture and Leisure North Lanarkshire  on behalf of North Lanarkshire Council

Alongside the Main 10k road race is a 3k timed run for pupils in S1 to S4,

The day also includes a children's 1k race for pupils in Primary 5 to Primary 7

We have added a 400m Dash for Pupils in Primary 1 to Primary 4

This year will also see the return of the Toddler dash for 3-5yrs

Finally we are also delighted to offer a Victory Mile Walk event in partnership with our registered charity the Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland
you can make donations to SBHS when you enter any of our races.

Throughout the day there will be a range of free fun activities for all the community to come along and cheer on the runners

10k Run for 15 and over - chip timed event (£17 standard entry, £15 for SAL, Access NLL and Jogscotland members)
3k Run for S1 to S4 pupils - chip timed event(£5)
1k Run for P5 to P7 pupils - (£5)
400m dash for P1 to P4 pupils - (£3.50)
100m toddler dash for 3-5yrs - (£3.50)

We are cheap, flat, fast, beginner friendly, New finisher medal design, t-shirts available for purchase for the 10k, event and to cap it all we have a FREE FUN ACTIVITIES for all the family.

Please note we will not be providing a cotton finisher t-shirt this year but there is an option to buy a technical t-shirt for £10 which will be posted before the race
