Access (Sales & Marketing)
The Access team are responsible for raising the company's profile by reinforcing the NLL brand and image, and as a result promote and increase the awareness of the facilities and services available to users and non users.

A successful marketing and promotion strategy has helped to launch and develop Access NL which is a superb membership scheme offering unlimited use of gyms, swimming pools, fitness classes and health suites at 14 participating centres throughout North Lanarkshire.


Policy and Development

This involves the development of organisational policies in order to implement the strategic aims and priorities of the company.

Sport and Recreation facilities

The company is responsible for the management and development of a range of high quality sport and recreation facilities.


Sport Development/Social Inclusion

The aim of the Sports Development team is to create the framework in which to increase and sustain lifelong participation in sport and physical activity – to promote the continuous
improvement in the delivery of sporting opportunities and services at a local level for all the community. Also, to identify gaps in provision for those most at risk through social exclusion
and inequalities.


Finance

The Finance Department is responsible for the effective financial management and stewardship of the company and for ensuring that the company's financial position remains healthy and sustainable. This involves the following;

Provision of professional advice and direction. Delivery of management reporting that enables senior and local managers to effectively manage their activities. Statutory financial and fiscal reporting. Processing transactions related to income, expenditure, capital projects and financing.


Human Resources

The Human Resource (HR) Department develops, advises on and implements policies relating to the effective use of personnel within the company. The aim is to ensure that the company employs the right balance of staff in terms of skills and experience, and that training and development opportunities are available to employees to enhance their performance and achieve the company's business aims. In addition they are involved in a range of working practices such areas as recruitment, equality and diversity and conditions of employment.


Information Technology (IT)

Information technology is responsible for the architecture, hardware, software and networking of IT in the company. Staff who work in this area perform a number of duties to ensure that employees have full access to computers and related systems.


Health and Safety

The Board of Directors, Chief Executive and members of the Management team of North Lanarkshire Leisure are committed to meeting their responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and associated protective legislation and have various systems and procedures in place to ensure that safe systems of work is in place.


Quality and Service Improvement

North Lanarkshire Leisure wants to be known for being different, different in the way we treat our staff and different in the way we treat our customers. To sustain business success the company has introduced a core strategy aimed at integrating both our staff and business processes to ensure that we provide the highest standards possible.

As part of our commitment, we have developed a Service Improvement Management System

(SIMS) aimed at highlighting and detailing the 7 strategic themes required ensuring that service performance remains at the forefront of what we do. Through investing, integration and implementing the 7 key strategic themes we will strive to achieve service excellence and continually raise standards. Improving standards is everyone's business and that it begins at the top through our Board of Directors and senior management team.
