Janet HaughFinancial Controller & Company SecretaryAs Company Secretary, Janet is responsible for the company's compliance with the effective governance of the company and legislative and regulatory requirements as a limited company and charity.
Janet manages the corporate support functions of finance, human resources and ICT. Her responsibilities include the long-term financial planning for the company and its subsidiary, which has a turnover circa £24m. A key aspect of the role is to ensure effective governance is in place, to enable the company to deliver its charitable objectives.
The company has approximately 1,000 employees and 19 sites across the geographic area of North Lanarkshire and therefore the corporate human resources, training and ICT functions play a key role in effective service delivery.
Janet joined North Lanarkshire Leisure Limited in February 2007, having worked for 13 years with North Lanarkshire Council and its antecedent authorities. Janet is a Fellow with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, with over 15 years post-qualifying experience.
Janet is a volunteer for a national charity operating within the North Lanarkshire area and takes an interest in local sporting events and activities. |
