Area Manager

Colin is responsible for the operational management of a large number of facilities including swimming pools, sports centres, golf courses, outdoor facilities and sports pitches which includes overseeing all related activities of service provision.  

Other key areas of responsibility include the management of in house technical services that provide planned maintenance and repairs maintenance across all NLL facilities and grounds maintenance services for golf courses and next generation pitch estate.   This also extends to the project management of the capital investment strategy and programme for NLL which has delivered significant investment and improvements across a wide range of facilities , services and products. 

Colin has held a number of facility management and generic sports development positions within North Lanarkshire and Glasgow City Council’s, and has experience of taking sporting opportunities to deprived community areas to improve life chances and opportunities through participation in sport. 

Through further education Colin has a Post Graduate MBA and also holds various Leisure Management and marketing qualifications and industry recognised sports management and project management awards.
