Meet Councillor Jim Logue

Cllr Jim Logue

 

Jim Logue is the Chairman of the North Lanarkshire Leisure Limited Board of Directors.

Jim was appointed to the Board in March 2006 as an Elected Member of North Lanarkshire Council.

 

Jim is currently, Chair of the Learning & Leisure Services Committee and prior to this, was Chair of Community Services. He has been an Elected Member since 1977, representing an Electoral Ward in Airdrie.

 

On leaving school, Jim went to Glasgow University, graduating with an MA (Hons) and then, for 11 years, taught in a secondary school in Coatbridge.

 

Thereafter, Jim moved into a post in Social Work and held a senior management post in West Lothian Council.

 

In his spare time, Jim enjoys walking, hill climbing and cycling.
